Some times the most obvious thing isn't so....

Thanks for giving us knowledge about this. A Meta tag is written to provide information to search engines about websites and web pages. Meta tags cannot be seen when a web page is viewed via a web browser, but can be seen via the page source code.
It nice to have Drupal around in the web business. I mean now you can find wordpress almost everywhere. Their famous 5 minutes install is a wonderful opportunity for those people who are absolute newbies in the internet. However I would really suggest trying Drupal instead of wordpress. I mean there are way too less websites made with Drupal so it is a nice opportunity to be a little bit different from those wordpress websites. Moreover such articles like that can really help to make your own web in 10 minutes. Isn't it quick huh? So I highly recommend trying Drupal and all the modules which you can get to this CMS.

I think the reason why they haven't built this into drupal itself is because they stand to make more money if people have to install the plugin rather than it already being there. Maybe they stick an advertisement in or something. But yeah, there's no reason otherwise that I could think of why they wouldn't simply built it into drupal itself.

Just out of curiousity, why didn't they just build this into drupal itself? It's call to have the plugin for it but it seems like this would be pretty useful to have from the beginning. I work on a site about dania furniture and would love if this was built into drupal for me to use.

I particularly like the way that only small tasks are apportioned by content type (such as blog or calendar event), which dovetails nicely with creating CCKs and views in Drupal; but it’s still a big task you’re taking on!

My bosses were insistent on making Drupal 6 sites for clients as soon as it was released. This was a headache, because views and CCK were not done, as well as many other modules. Their rational was that we'd have to eventually upgrade to 6, and we wouldn't want to go back and redo these sites. It ended up that we had so many workarounds while using the development versions of modules that it was a pain every time we upgraded modules or core itself.
